The wooden palisade is a primitive and early form of wall. Literally constructed from long logs stuck into the ground and lashed or nailed together with boards and pegs, these defenses would not hold out against many enemies. Even with sharpened tips, these walls were mainly used in small villages and towns looking for some light and quick defense. These walls were also commonly used by armies on the move, especially the Roman Legions (yes, five-hundred years before the Dark Ages).
This item has a sister item, a shorter (and cheaper) palisade without the walkway.
